Setting up Blackbaud for Outlook Integration
DevOps is pleased to share that Blackbaud for Outlook is now live. Blackbaud for Outlook allows fundraisers to add email messages directly to a Raiser's Edge NXT constituent action record.
You should see the Blackbaud for Outlook icon in your Outlook (see screenshot below). Note that the app may appear differently depending on the version of Outlook you're using.
If the app icon isn't visible for you, please click Get Add-ins and add the Blackbaud for Outlook app from the Outlook store.
If you're still having trouble adding the app, please file a support ticket with IT.
To set up the integration, open an email message in your Outlook inbox or sent folder. Click the green Blackbaud for Outlook icon (Blackbaud
).
If you're using Blackbaud for Outlook for the first time you'll need to sign in to Blackbaud after clicking the Blackbaud
icon.
After signing in to Blackbaud please authorize the integration.
Your integration should now be live.
Add Email as an Action
From a message in your inbox or one in your sent folder you'll be able to add the email as an NXT action. You're not able to use this functionality to add an action from an in progress email.
Click on the 
icon and you'll see an NXT constituent window appear.
Select the appropriate Action Type
The email subject line will populate the Summary field
The email content will populate the Notes field
You can also assign a Fundraiser to the Action
View Constituent Details
Click on the 
icon and you'll see an NXT constituent window appear.Click 'View Constituent Info' to see constituent details.
You can also click on the hyperlinked constituent name to go directly to the NXT record.
